Moodboards and inspiration
after deciding on the correct "look" nila wanted to go for in this film, she then started looking at environment creation in this style. she likes the simplicity and brightness of these images and plans to incorporate these in the first section of my movie, with the fighters and crowd.

here she's looking at cityscapes in my chosen "style". however, we're not sure if we'll need to use a cityscape yet (perhaps an establishing shot?) but she liked the vibrancy and use of lighting in these shots, she think they'll work really well if there's anything like this in the final idea.

these are the images that nila's found most useful so far - interior design and architecture. she liked the contrast between the muted, two-toned look of the dexter's lab images, when compared to the cramp twins concept art. she wants to use this contrast of vibrancy and tone in the film too, from the fighting ring to the old people's home. note: lighting!

johnny bravo and el macho -
these were the inspiration for the wrestlers in their prime, with over exaggerated muscles and huge physique.
initial Script/screenplay
After 5 revisions, Niall came up with the final version of our screenplay - complete with shot breakdowns and stage directions.
each revision was carefully broken down and discussed, ideas were juggled and gags were subsequently added and removed to form our final product.

initial CHARACTER DESIGN
THESE ARE A FEW OF NILA'S ORIGINAL CONCEPT ART SKETCHES, WHICH WERE THEN CHANGED TO MORE DEVELOPED CHARACTERS AS THE GROUP HAD REVIEWS WITH TUTORS AND MORE CLASSES.
nila then put together a design sheet for the two characters in their old form...
...and one for their younger days.
Initial storyboards
after this, lewis came up with a working storyboard, along with camera angles, shot direction and framing concepts.
the group then had a review with one of their tutors, in which some action, dialogue and shots were changed.
we discussed our proposed revisions, after which nila drew up and coloured our presentation storyboards:

backgrounds and production stills
to design the storyboard, nila had to look at backgrounds and layout for certain shots, she went through the layouts with niall and re-drew them:

PRODUCTION SCHEDULES AND CHARTS
our producer, niall, planned out a production schedule for the term ahead, as well as doing shot breakdowns.
we were hoping as a group to get our animation pretty much finished by the christmas holidays, so that we would have plenty of time for any touch ups or changes in the future.

as part of every animated film, niall and lewis created an animatic from our storyboards, with temporary sounds and music:
